In this Winter Olympics, Veik PTFE architectural membrane and Class A fireproof decorative material are honored to participate in the construction of the National Speed Skating Oval and the Capital Gymnasium.
- National Speed Skating Oval
The National Speed Skating Hall is also known as the "Ice Ribbon". The design concept comes from an idea of combining ice and speed. 22 ribbons are like the traces of athletes sliding across, symbolizing speed and passion. As an iconic venue for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Jiangsu Veik has supplied PTFE architectural membranes with a total area of more than 30,000 square meters and Class A fire-resistant sunshade products for its venue construction.
- Capital Gymnasium
On the top of the venue is a giant projection "sky screen" composed of 36 projection screens, which are made of Veik PTFE customized laser projection screen products. When laser projectors are arranged in the four corners of the venue, the brilliant lights and beautiful pictures are projected onto the screen at the top of the venue. When the athletes dance on the ice, they seem to be in a dream.
